I've tried a friends box and all I can receive are the BBC channels. My
ariel points to East Anglia so I get Anglian TV not London or Meridean.
I suppose to get the same as you are i'll have to get the ariel changed
as well as spun round. I've got $ky etc but feel it's time to just have
a few free ones rather than paying for loads that you don't need.
Thanks.

I live in the SS2 postal area- close to Southend East railway station. I
can get all MUXs from Crystal Palace but somewhat unreliably. Many of
the tall buildings in the town centre are almost in the direct path to
the transmitter. A couple of tower cranes (one two hundred yards from my
house at present) don't help the situation - the signal does seem to
depend a lot on how they are parked during the night.

I currently have my wideband aerial pointing at Bluebell Hill and can
get all MUXs without major problems. I get a few minor clitches when an
inadequately suppressed fart sounding motorbike passes by or from cars
when there is standing water on the road junction 50 metres away from my
house.

A side issue: before they removed the traffic lights at the junction I
used to get 'splats' on analogue reception when the light changed, but
again only when the road was wet.
