echo on adverts with AD

The other night on ch 4 they had an AD program which worked very well, but
whenever an AD advert, like the Flash or specsavers ones came on, the first
few seconds had the normal sound echoed a fraction of a second latter until
the first fade to the AD, then it was fine until the next AD commercial. I'd
not heard this kind of thing before, as if some latency was there between
the ad and main soundtrack. Brian

Its happened on other channels with the added feature of when an advert
changes the set goes completely silent until you move off and back to the
channel again.
