iPlayer - which current platforms?

This prompted by our old Humax HB-1000S dropping support for iPlayer.

Our Virgin system still supports it.

I haven't been able to tie down if our (pre-4k) Firesticks support it.
2018 vintage, IIRC.

Is support for iPlayer fading, or is it just the older platforms?

Can't answer that directly, all I can say is that it still works from a PC.

Can't answer that directly, all I can say is that it still works from a PC.

And from my Humax DTR T2000.

I recently downloaded a programme via get-iplayer, and the subtitles
were in a .txt file, which is no good.

They dont appear to want to support older Android platforms - and
updating Android systems seems to be a minefield

I have a Panasonic TV set here with a version of iPlayer which is so old
that it claims to support iPlayer radio - but doesnt work at all :-\

I believe that there were a lot of similar problems with the migration
to ITVx
