I have a Panasonic 'Smart' TV but no aerial so I am relying on Android
functionality. I keep having problems with Sky News cutting out or
being shown as 'Not available'. My broadband is FTTP with no known
difficulties. All other devices work. The last time this occurred
(lunchtime today) I switched to BBC iPlayer with no problems. Can I
assume the problem lies with Sky's servers?

I think the problem may now be resolved by clearing the cache,
clearing the data and restarting the app. I don't think this 'Smart'
TV is as smart as it thinks it is.

Like you, I always put quotation marks around 'Smart' when referring to
TV sets, and in fact many modern devices. Better still is to avoid them
completely.
