We have a Samsung UE32T5600 32" start TV.

I had to reset it a few days ago to get the right transmitter (we sit
almost on the line between Emley and Bilsdale) and ever since at switch
on it opens with the options bar across the bottom half of the screen
(i.e. iPlayer, ITVx, My5, etc) which it did not do before the reset. Any
ideas how to revert to the original state??

Another question: suddenly Google Maps has decided to open in satellite
view rather than map view. Also anyone ideas how to fix this annoying
action?

TIA

I only have a dumb Samsung TV, but I see the words 'Samsung Smart TV'
and 'problem' used together quite frequently.
It only adds to my dislike of the term 'Smart', which is already right
up there.

Only today I've been investigating Google maps, which I use via
hyperlinks in a spreadsheet on Google Drive (showing routes in a
Rambling club). I found that Google maps remembers your last setting,
so that if it comes up showing 'satellite view', and then you change
it to roads view, the next time you access it you will se

Don't have that specific TV unsurprisingly but in Samsung's it's
normally configurable.
Go to Settings. Scroll down to General and select. Scroll to Smart
features and select. Mine has options to Auto run Smart hub (deselect
this). Auto run Last App (select this).
As I say you TV might have different menu's in the settings but head for
something similar to the above and see what you find.
