I need a battery. 7.2V 13Ah li-ion. 113x66x37mm. It's for a Promax analyser. This is the only one I can find, but the price is ridiculous. Any suggestions as to where I can buy this battery or its equivalent at a sensible price, please?

That's about £100 UK, but it will take months to literally ship from Oz.

By my reckoning this is two lithium cells in series, so can't you make one from readily available cells for just ££?

Yes, it looks like that should be possible. Individual LiIon cells are
3.7V, while the packed one shown in Bill's link is 7.4V 13.2Ah, and
seems to consist of 6 x 2 = 12 cells, so I suspect it's made up of 6
pairs each of 2 cells in series to get the voltage, with the pairs
arranged in parallel to get the capacity, something like (where o
represents a cell, a fixed font will be necessary for this to look right):

Yeah, this is an old machine and it seems to need a large capacity battery.

This one is a bit shorter so should fit OK.

Heavy for the power output/input.
Light one for monitoring/balancing the groups of parallel cells.

Probably made by Saft, or whoever owns them these days. I used to like their

Read its spec', but probably one for input charging current and one for output current.

The modern ones have smart batteries like a laptop. You could take a
chance and connect only the two heavy leads. As yours is very old I
would ask Promax about sourcing suitable batteries.
